Welcome to World Languages
The World Languages department offers both cultural and linguistic courses in French and Spanish. Our program provides students with new perspectives on the world, and we strive to teach acceptance of those different from ourselves as they prepare to become citizens of the world. Students will be provided opportunities to listen, read, write, and speak a new language. We also offer courses for native Spanish speakers to build upon their skills.

Paul Duke STEM offers 5 years of French, Spanish, and Spanish for Native Speakers on-campus. Students should take 3-4 years between middle and high school if applying to 4-year university. It is highly recommended that students complete their World Language experience in consecutive years, including the transition from Middle School into High School. Graduating seniors can achieve the Seal of Biliteracy, which recognizes a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages in addition to English. |
